Executive Coaching

Drew James, MBA

I work with leaders navigating complexity, pressure, and transition– offering a grounded space to think clearly and move forward with intention.

This work is designed for individuals carrying significant responsibility, who need more than surface-level support.

It’s a place to think clearly, make aligned decisions, and move forward with intention.

Who This Work is For

This work is for high-responsibility individuals– leaders, founders, and professionals navigating complexity, growth, or transition.

Many of the people Drew works with are highly capable and deeply relied upon. You may be:

  • making complex decisions daily

  • leading teams or organizations under pressure

  • navigating a period of growth, transition, or recalibration

  • holding more than is visible to others

Outwardly, things may appear stable or successful. Internally, something may feel strained, unclear, or ready for change.

The Work

This work is focused, responsive, and grounded in what you are actually navigating.

I work alongside you in real time– whether you’re facing strategic decisions, leadership challenges, or internal tension that hasn’t had space to be processed.

Sessions are not formulaic. They move between:

  • strategic clarity

  • decision-making

  • leadership capacity

  • internal alignment

So that what you’re building externally is supported internally.

Drew’s Approach

This work is shaped by over 15 years in demanding leadership and professional environments– where performance, decision-making, and responsibility were constant.

Alongside that, I navigated the longer-term effects of trauma while continuing to operate at a high level.

When I sought support, I found that many spaces were either too simplified or disconnected from the realities I was navigating.

I didn’t need surface-level strategies. I needed depth, nuance, and someone who could think with me in real time.

That experience directly shapes how I work today.

This is a space where strategic thinking and internal experience are both held, without being reduced or separated.

What This Work Supports

  • Leadership under sustained pressure

  • Complex and high-stakes decision-making

  • Career and identity transitions

  • Navigating growth without fragmentation

  • Recalibrating direction or priorities

  • Creating space to think clearly and act intentionally

Within DCR Priority

Executive coaching is one part of DCR Priority’s integrative approach.

While our broader work spans strategy, structure, and growth at the business level, this work focuses on the individual leading it.

Because no system, strategy, or plan can hold if the person carrying it is unsupported.

This is where leadership capacity is developed– so the business can grow without becoming heavier to lead.

How This Works

This work begins with a brief introductory conversation via Google Meet.

It’s a space to understand what you’re navigating and determine whether this approach feels like a strong fit.

If it does, we move into an initial intake session– designed to explore your current landscape in depth and establish a clear direction for the work.

From there, sessions continue on an ongoing basis, shaped by what you need and how you’re working.

Client Reflections

“As an attorney, I’m used to carrying a constant level of pressure as well as long hours, high expectations, and decisions that don’t leave much room for error. At the same time, I’m a father, and I was starting to feel the tension between being fully present at home and fully committed at work. This wasn’t about needing advice, it was about needing space to think clearly and recalibrate. Drew provided that in a way that felt both steady and practical. This work goes beyond coaching. It helped me move through decisions with more clarity, show up more intentionally in both roles, and create a sense of balance that actually feels sustainable.”

“I spent years building a career in medicine, but underneath was a sense that something didn’t fully align. Through my work with Drew, I began to understand how much of that path was shaped by earlier experiences: by a need to prove myself and feel enough. This wasn’t a surface-level process and it required honesty, space, and the ability to look at things I hadn’t fully named before. Drew created a space where that could happen without pressure or oversimplification. Over time, I was able to step back, reduce my hours, and begin moving toward work that actually feels aligned with who I am now. What I gained wasn’t just clarity, it was the ability to make changes in a way that felt steady and real. This work goes far beyond coaching; it supported a shift in how I understand myself, my work, and the direction I’m choosing to move in.”

“One of the most valuable parts of this work was just having a space to think things through out loud. It helped to have someone I could bounce business ideas off of who could meet me there, but also gently bring it back to the bigger picture. What stood out was that it wasn’t just about making the ‘right’ business decision, but it was about whether those decisions actually aligned with what I’m working toward overall. This shifted how I approached a lot of things. The workbook was also really helpful. It gave me a way to step back and see everything from a more complete, bird’s-eye view, which I hadn’t taken the time to do before. It didn’t feel like typical coaching. It felt steady, thoughtful and it made it easier to move forward in a way that actually felt right.”

A space to think clearly.
A way to move forward with intention.
